There are a few audio/video resources I repeatedly benefit from in trying to better understand Girard’s thought, besides Girard’s books of course. Please read the man himself. Girard noted (in the second interview I list below) that there was a time, before Girard established himself, when people actually read him but none quoted him. Today it seems that since he’s well-known, people who don’t actually read him are fond of quoting him. But if you’re reading the man himself, then I suggest a few other helpful resources.

• My personal favorite is David Cayle’s wonderful 5-part series on CBC. I’ve listen to this repeatedly and still enjoy it.
• After that there’s Daniel Lance’s interview with Girard about his career and thought. This is another wonderful discussion containing a few gems.
• Then there’s Lumen Christi Institute’s panel discussion with three heavy-weights Bill Cavanaugh, Jean-uc Marion, and James Murphy at U of Chicago…
